AMEX Corporate card

My work wants me to apply for an AMEX Travel card. I have a Ch.7 that was dismissed Jun 2019. I am going to tell HR when we have the meeting today, but whats the chances I'm approved. My credit scores are in the low 700's and the bankruptcy is the only bad thing I have on my credit report.

My understanding is your bankruptcy will not be an issue as you will not be the ultimate entity responsible for payment of the card. I changed jobs earlier this year and have a Chapter 13, and my new company asked me to apply for an AMEX Corporate card because of how much travel I will be doing once travel restrictions are lifted. The wrinkle here is, I won't know the status of my application until said "travel restrictions" are in fact lifted as they aren't going to bother getting me the card until I hit the road. Thanks for the reassurance. I spoke to a coworker/friend who knows that I filed and he said they it won't matter because my company is responsible for the card.

As long as your employer knows about it there should not be any problem. I am sure they will sort things out. Technically you'll be using your employer account and not getting your own account. It is almost like AU status. Wish you all the best and keep us updated with your status.

I had a corp card when I filed a 13, AmEx cancelled it, I called HR - told them what was going on, they had a new card issued - had the card for a few years until AmEx lost our account and we switched over to JP Morgan, no issues in receiving a corporate card from them either (and I burned both AmEx and Chase)

I can echo what everyone else has said. I filed in 2018. Never paid AMEX late on the card I IIB. Had NO issues getting the corporate card. So much so that when I submitted my expense report timely and manager waited 2 weeks to process it AMEX hit the card with a $39 late fee. I called and a very polite CSR was quick to remove the fee noting I had never been late and as a corporate card was stuck in the middle between my manager and employer processing the payment. Just make sure to submit any expense reports timely so that the charges are processed timely by your employer. I also was honest with HR just in case.
