Chapter 13 refund

Plan was paid 100 percent due to inheritance. I've gotten a refund for over payment but no discharge info any help appreciated

? is I thought I get discharged then refund

My 13 was also 100 percent. I swear I did receive my refund after my DC. My attorney was awesome about following up every step of the way, and was always very responsive with questions. Have you asked yours?

That being said, I am virtually 100 percent certain that I received my refund monies from the Trustee very soon after I received my DC.

Also, several weeks later, I received about $2000 in refund checks for overpayments from a creditor with whom I had several cards IIB.. Before cashing them, I, of course, called my attorney.

UPDATE...I was wrong. I got my refund 1.5 months before DC.

Nah I haven't asked any literally checked the mail yesterday and boom check from trustee. Also nothing on website say anything however the check was for balance on hand. I will reach out to my lawyer tomorrow

I just checked NDC.ORG regarding my case.

My payoff overage refund from the Trustee came 1.5 months BEFORE my discharge.

Nothing to worry about. You are good.

@Gbright226 - the fact you received it prior to discharge is a good thing meaning your closure should almost come immediately after discharge. This is were the trustee completes a ledger and basically states all monies were allocated as dictated throughout your backruptcy. This is definitey a good sign - unlike the rest mostly get (if any) a refund much later after discharge. My wife and I got a refund about $2500 6mos after discharge and then followed up by another $5,000 from a car we gave up in bankruptcy with WellsFargo.
