Final Ch 13 payment COMPLETED!

Hey Friends

It has been a LONG road but my final Ch 13 payment was deducted from paycheck last week and should post Tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday. I had some overpayment before this last payment and the trustee ended up giving a 6.5% payout to unsecured creditors (I had been on a 0% repayment).

I am in the Northern Texas DIstrict. According to NDC, before this last payment, my plan balance only needed $171 to be paid in full. I know the trustee will take the 10% but that leaves a decent amount remaining but over the total plan balance. Should I get that amount back to me? Or will they again give it to unsecured. Granted yes I would love that amount back but to be honest to be this close to being completed it huge and feels great. It has been a long 5 years.

I have talked to my attorney and they gave me an outline of what to expect but if anyone else has been through this, I would love to hear you story at the end of your Ch 13.

Congratulations on the final payment, I know how if feels thoughtout the payment plan, that it seems as the BK would never end.

At the end of my BK13, I got a refund check from my trustee. Also your data will not still on the NDC website forever so (IIRC its up to 2 years).
