Hello all. Seeking some help here. I just got an experian a negative alert on my experian app. Opened up and it has to do with apple card. The thing is, I had filed for bk7 which was discharged in 2019 and apple card was included. I am confused and looking for some explanation from an expert. Thanks.

As far as I know, most of the time a "reaffirmation" triggers these alerts. What is the exact wording of the alert. Six years post BK7 seems quite a while for an included lender to report a status. Please keep us informed.

Well, at the end there it states last payment in March 1, 2025. Even if they were included in the BK filing, if you did indeed make a payment in 2025, they are able to start reporting payment status. Additionally, all negative accounts still are able to be reported for up to 7 years as long as they state the account was discharged in bankruptcy and report a $0 balance. This account reporting all of a sudden though seems strange. I'm sure others will share their experience with you. Best of luck to you.

Since this account should age off soon, you can wait and see if it does to make sure the account wasn't reaffirmed. If it does not fall off, make sure it is not also reporting at the other 2 credit bureaus, then contact Experian to file a dispute. You can also try to file an early exclusion request to see if they will remove the reporting account a bit before the 7-year time frame.
