Chase Ink - Pay From Personal Checking

Hey guys,

somebody has any experience how to pay the Chase Ink (Business) card form my personal checking account? So far I think the only option is bill pay. Does somebody have the details to set that up, I assume I need to select CHASE CREDIT ACCOUNTS as the Payee correct?

Yes, you can pay from your personal checking account towards the Ink card. I do it all the time although I pay from a Chase personal checking account. The question you asked isn't clear in the latter part. Is the personal account you want to pay from at Chase also or a different bank?

If it is at a different bank, you set up bill pay and follow the instructions. Some banks do instant verifications of accounts prompting you to login to Chase. So you should not have a problem.

1. I don't think it's advisable to pay your business accounts from your personal accounts.

2. There are numerous ways to pay your account from anywhere; I would need you to be more specific about what your problem is.

Originally I wanted to add my Personal Checking account from Chase as a "Pay From" account online to my business credit card. When I entered account# and routing infomation, Chase said that it couldnt verify that the account was mine. This is why I am looking for alternatives.

1. Isn't your business entity a different person than you individually?

2. I don't think you should mix personal & business expenses, but if you insist on paying from your personal account you could just go to your personal account, add the Chase Ink account as a payee in bill pay, and "push" the payments from there rather than "pull" the payments from your Ink account.

I am a sole entrepeneur/freelancer, therefore I dont have a corporation name and handle everything through my SSN. Hope that makes sense.

As a matter of policy I don't pull payments into any credit card or other creditor, rather, I go online to the bank where the money is and push it from the bank to the creditor. That, or write out a check, that isn't hard either.
