Congrats OP on the approval. This was going to be one of my next AMEX cards this year before they took away the 50K MR SUB. Not interested now.

If you do the self referral you'll still get it. I got the 50K MR SUB with 5K spend.

I’ve been meaning to get a business gold and BBP for my sole prop or my LLC, but I’m not sure and I’m worried about Amex clawing back the SUB. Did you self refer from the Plat for the 15k bonus?

I self referred from the platinum card. Why would they claw back the sub? I only got this cause i have a $6000 expense coming up so i can meet the msr real quick.

Congrats! I plan to self refer soon as the personal gold only allows balances up to 100k unless you give access to your bank account... No thanks.

Per comments in r/churning and as per my agreement, log onto your online account then pull up and check/print out the actual cardmember agreement. You used a referral (doesn't matter if you self-refer) so the T&C should show "Annual Membership Fee $0 for the first year, then $295"

The 1st year free may or may not ultimately be honored but it at least would be arguable.
