American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card VS The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card

I think I got talked into getting the Blue Business Cash card by Business AMX rep instead of the Blue Business Plus Credit Plus which I was leaning towards, I know the Blue Business Cash lets me spend over my limit but will never spend even close to my limit, I just don't buy that much stuff for my business anymore. The Blue Business Plus seems to have better reward features, is this correct? Thanks

The only differences that I can tell between the two cards is the rewards system.

Blue Business Cash is 2% cash back.

Blue Business Plus is 2 MR per $.

Both cards have a 50K Cap per primary card account.

MR can easily be worth more then 2CPP to the right person but it’s very dependent on if and how you travel.

I can get 4 cents per point so 8% back quite easily without trying.

Ouch.

I love my Plus and would have no interest in a Cash.

I like to use MRs as miles, but Schwab Platinum gives me "point value insurance" of 1.25 cpp redemptions for cash deposits at Schwab. Even if I stopped flying and couldn't use miles, BBP would still give me 2.5% cash back.

BBP lets you exceed the credit limit, too. I've gone to ~$40k on a $13k CL.

IMO, the Plus is a better card than the Cash.

ANA J is one very easy way to get 4CPP.

100K in points x .04 = $4000. I think that’s a pretty fair valuation of Business to SE Asia during.

I just booked ANA F for 120,000 for my honeymoon. I will assign 6 cents per point to that instead of 8-10CPP as realistically I couldn’t afford to drop 10K+ per person on F.

Royal Air Maroc is another way I’ve gotten 4CPP. 44,000 miles each way in J to Europe is a sweet deal. Not the best hard product ever but it’s lie flats for the cheap. Peak travel season too.

Those are 3 recent redemptions where I’ve obtained 4CPP roughly.
