B&H Photo - Net 30 Account?

Have any of you opened a B&H Net 30 account for your business?

I've heard nothing of this account, but order regularly from B&H so its pretty interesting to me.

Any info on this one as far as approvals odds, what bureau they pull, etc would be greatly appreciated!

It looks intriguing - B&H has quite a few things my company could use.

I thumbed through the application, and I do not see spaces for DOB or SSN. So I assume this is a straight-up Experian Biz /D&B pull.

They do say 2 years in business, which it seems most of us qualify for.

I may pull the trigger just to give you guys data points...

I was curious and went to their website, did they hide the link?(maybe u have to have an acct.) I saw payboo and some other stuff but I had to come back here to use the link @shane82388 posted. Seems like a good option.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

Current datapoints of mine:

- 4 year old business

- 5.5m revenue

- Chevron Texaco Access card, $5k (not reporting but told them about it)

- Uline, haven't called to figure out my credit line.

- Asked for $2k

No PG put on app - no place for SSN or DOB....

Just wanted to update you guys on the progress of this.

So far, I am no closer to knowing if I am approved.

I CAN tell you that they will absolutely check bank and trade references. If they cannot contact a reference, they ask you for another.

It has been a zoo so far with this back-and-forth stuff mainly because they cannot contact one of my references...

At this point, I am not concerned if I am approved or not. I will give you all data points when I do know.

So far, no mention of D&B or Experian reports.

1. I love B&H

2. I did apply for and was approved for their Net 30 account

3. My recollection is that it was very old school, and that actually using the account required something other than a link or checkmark on the website; it required calling or emailing or something extra like that. Which is probably why, although I've had the approved account for at least 2 or 3 years, I haven't used it once. I always wind up taking the easy way out and paying by credit card. It's surprising, given how technological and cutting edge they are in terms of product., how good their customer service is, and how excellent their website is.

Update: I just fished out my credit approval... it's actually 3 1/2 years that I've had the account. But here are their parameters for using it, which don't fit with my way of doing things:

- All orders must be accompanied by a confirming Purchase Order (PO).
- PO’s can be mailed or faxed. Orders will not be released without a PO.
- Orders have to be placed by phone, fax, or email.

2nd Update: I'm told there is a way to "get set up" for online ordering.

The account is no longer open; they purged it for inactivity since I never used it

They told me the account I supplied was too low and asked to provide another account or more. Just trying to decide which to provide according to their balance requirements when they query the banks.
