Soft (Personal) Pull Business Cards

Hi All,

I'm looking for business cards that only require personal soft pulls for approval. I'm okay with PG and HP on biz credit, but would love to see a list of cards that only SP my personal reports.

Thus far on the list:

-BB&T

-AMEX (for existing customers)

Any others to add?

@audioman00 Are you sure BB&T Business are soft pulls to apply? I saw one data point in January and it was an EQ pull.

I believe Citizens Bank is a soft pull on personal.

I have applied twice over the years and have never seen a hard inquiry show up on my personal CR.

@randomguy1 obviously nothing is certain, but personal BB&T is confirmed to be SP only and at least a few datapoints that business cards are SP only.

I got a SunTrust Business Card 2 years ago July 2018, which was before the merger with BB&T. They told me there would be a hard pull, but they only did a soft Pull and approved me for $11.5k, then without me requesting a CLI, they bumped me up to $15k in December 2019. I will note that I had been running all of my business through their checking account for 4 years straight at that point and had no account issues. Also my FICO 8 scores averaged about 785 when I got the card and 760 during at the CLI.

@jaxstraw Do you have a Citizens account or CC? They pulled me twice for a Perosnal CC ($8K) and Personal Loan (Denied)

I have no accounts with Citizens other than the Biz CC and from my experience they do not pull your personal credit for that product.

What do they base for their credit decision ? Commerical Credit Reports like Experian Business or D&B ?

Citizens bank WILL do a soft pull on your personal credit and ask for 3 months bank statements, if you apply for a business credit card. Maybe if you have an existing banking relationship with them,they may not? IDK

Just received mine yesterday, I'm in Michigan, no hard pull on my personal, 3 months of bank statements for the business.
20-year old S corp. 1.1m+ in revenue, 7k limit. (kinda small in my opinion, 10% of my chase Ink limit.)

I called today to apply for Citizens....Im in the AZ and it was a no go since I am not in the states they have branches. Too bad I would have applied today due to SP on Personal and easy app. I have personal Citizens CC and they have been great and gave me a $8K SL...

Why or how do you have a personal cc yet they won't extend business product(s) as well? Did you apply for personal cc while living elsewhere? I had an auto loan through them yet nothing else will I qualify for since it's geofenced. Too bad indeed.
