U.S. Bank Business Platinum Card Approval

I've desired a U.S. Bank business card for about 3 years, but was previously denied because my business was geo-restricted (Georgia). I've had a U.S. Bank savings account for approximately 3 years, would occasionally get offers to apply for a business card. The last time I was denied the rep stated that if you receive an offer, even if you're in a geo-restricted state the bank might let you in. I've received a few offers over the years but they were never for the card I wanted, so I passed.

I finally received an email offer for a preapproved Business Platinum Card and went ahead and spun the wheel: Approved for $23,000 APR 11.99 (Lowest) Business nearly 6 years old Personal Credit Great: FICO 8s 790s, FICO 9s 820-30 HPs: 4 on EQ (what they pulled)

Second, I didn't know that about GA being geo-restricted. I'm in Georgia, business as well, and dh was able to receive the Biz Plat card last year, no offer. I received their cb MC a couple of weeks ago...again, no offer. 🤔

It's true....but there is a backdoor way to open a business account in the geofenced areas.

Open a US Bank brokerage account..... that isn't geofenced.

Once that's open you are eligible for other US Bank products even if you are still in a geofenced area.

Thanks. It could have changed, but I was denied twice with that explanation. I started tying for cards in 2018.
