Apped for the Sans Club Bus app, went to underwriting ....

Sooooo.... On Wednesday as I was at Sams Club, I applied for the Business credit card with NO PG, and it requested the counter lady to call. SO she called, they ask if I was there and ask about my driver licence information and transferred to another rep and then hung up, then she said they told her to keep refreshing, after a few minutes it states "Underwriting for review 7-10 Days". I was intrigued and I ask, does this mean a decline, and she answered, "No sir I have seen declines many times, but only a handful of times have I seen what you received".

The next day I get an alert from "Nav" that my Business Experian has been pulled...... rest is a mystery...

Anyone had this kind of experience...if so ..the outcome ?

From what I've read here with others, synch will try to call your biz phone number while you're standing there at the counter. If you don't answer, often times you'll receive a letter stating "can't confirm". Do a search here to read up on those experiences and dp's. I'm hoping this will not be your experience as well. GL!!!!

Are you replacing the personal version of your Sam's Club MC with the biz version or...? They offer the same benefits, IIRC.

@FinStar Not necessarily replacing, I was just hoping to add more to the trade line for the business. @GApeachy my phone hasn't rang from the bank from the time I applied and still no calls, just the credit pull the day after.

Ah gotcha. If flashy is one consideration, my understanding is that the biz version isn't issued as WE like the personal version. But, all cashback and other benefits pretty much apply.

Typically, if they call you right away (while waiting at the Sam's service desk), that's a good sign as GApeachy mentioned upthread. Otherwise, if you didn't get a call, the decision could have any of the 3 following outcomes:

-declined

-approved, but for the store card version

-approved for the MC

Did you apply as a Sole Prop or other?

I've read so many stories about that particular issue. I've always wondered what they are using as a source to verify such information.

Sole Prop, with no DBA, correct? Your name is the same as the business name including middle initial (if applicable), right?

@Creditaddict-- you've been through this several times, any insight on what verification methods they use, whether it's an LLC, Sole Prop, etc.?

Phone number and address of membership needs to be same as llc.

make sure it's the current state filing llc and number.

I had issues with business phone vs my phone that I use for business.

I modified my membership and current sams store card all to the same info even though that's different from what I normally use.

it still took many many times!

So, I would assume the same would apply for Sole Prop where there is no DBA, correct? Meaning, exact name and business address needs to match with what's on the Sam's Club membership.

Would a separate business membership need to be created if a personal one already exists?

Yes, you have to have a business membership to apply for business (almost positive) as I've had 2 memberships at one point to have my multiple credit cards but who knows with me maybe that was for more cards but I don't think so in this case🤣😇

1) Make sure all info matches on Experian Business report.

2) Make sure all info matches on LexisNexis.**

You will need to provide LN an updated Certificate of Good Standing from Sec. Of State no older than 60 days to access and correct information on report.

I walked in opened a business account, then applied for the credit card. LLC .They wanted to call the business but no one was there. They kept the file open, called Synchrony the next morning , they called back to verify.

Only got approved for the store card 4.5K, that's cool it's our first EIN only no PG card.
