US Bank Triple Cash Rewards Approval - $30k

This is a late post considering when I got approved and screenshot but better late than never

Applied and immediately approval for their Triple Cash Rewards card for $30k. SUB was reached early and received with the first billing statement. This card is a "I just felt like applying for a card" urge and will hit their Leverage card later this year. Right now BofA's Business Unlimited and the Delta Platinum/Reserve take priority. Just being lazy applying for those cards right now

Only real hiccup with this card is not realizing I had to create a login for this business card since they give you business/corporate charge account to make payments; with your personal login you can only see the charges of the business card without any ability to pay. I had to call customer service and find that out after being transferred around a few times

@cashorcharge, I had to double check to make sure which bureua they pulled since Socks Bank likes to go back and forth between EX and TU for me. For this app they pulled TU which was around 820-830 I think at the time I applied

Congrats on the mega-approval @simplynoir! That's a pretty high SL for the Triple Cash Rewards.

Actually, I'm not sure how they set up mine, but in the past I was only able to view business accounts on a separate profile vs personal. However, whatever system enhancements were done a while back, I can view both business + personal under personal login including making payments to both (external sources + USB accounts).

I can also view both pers/biz deposit accounts as well. This includes US (Socks) Bank biz CCs and State Farm Bank biz CCs. The only thing I cannot view under personal login is employee CCs if you set up Central Billing -- those can only be viewed under biz login. I rarely log in to biz profile unless I need to download specific reports.

Did you apply online or via branch btw?

Congrats again, @simplynoir ! Always great to get a large approval for a card we don't need! haha... like I told you, mine's also sitting unused with the same limit. I applied for it out of boredom and thinking of it as a back up for CIC, but that plan kinda changed too. lol.

Also, it looks like @FinStar isn't having the same issues either. I'm curious if it's something relatively new since my card is a couple of years old, but I've always had full access to it from my personal login where I already had AR and Cash+.

When you get the BoA biz cards, you'll have something similar: a main corporate account for the particular card type and all individual cards listed separately. I have 3, so 3 corporate accounts and their respective employee cards under each. I think it kinda helps in viewing expenses and managing each employee card.

Thanks, @FinStar, I was honestly kind of surprised at the limit approval considering my exposure with the AR card. Do you know if they consider total credit accumulation or do they consider the credit lines seperate between personal/business if I'm making any sense?

My app was online back in February and got an immediate approval. New card showed up on my personal login I think the next day. Everything was fine til I went to try to pay the balance off. I could not pay it off at all; it showed the purchases as they were coming in but no way to pay since they said I had no balance on the account at this time. Called customer service and asked them if there was something wrong with my account. They checked and said no. That began the transfer game til an agent asked if they see the charge acount which I didn't know about at all. They had me create a business login and from there I was able to see the charge account and was finally able to pay the balance

First screenshot below shows what I see when I login in with personal account. No balance despite posted charges on the account. The second (older) screenshot I showed @imaximous awhile back when I asked him about it. Shows both the business card and the charge account the agents were referencing. That charge account is the one I have to use to make payments. I think @imaximous may be on to something when he mentions it may be something new especially if you have no troubles paying from your personal login like him. Just my luck really lol

Yeah, I'm wondering if this is a recently new thing with Socks Bank or if I slipped through the cracks because I still cannot pay anything on that biz card from my personal login. Wtih BofA that shouldn't be an issue it will just be me and the wife using it for business expenses when I do (and maybe wife as well???) get the card. The few employees we give cards to are setup with ones already and don't need more hahaha

@Citylights18, with the exception of the Altitude Reserve since you have to be a customer already to apply for that card, I believe the other credit cards US Bank offers are free to apply for without any geo-restrictions. So for them to say you could not apply for it due to where you live is certainly an interesting datapoint. A lot of people use the Cash+ as a jumping pad so they can get the card they really want the AR. Have you made a post about experience on the forums?

Basically they told me that I needed to have a branch within 500 miles for them to be willing to issue me a US Bank card.

I did mention it but that was a long time ago.

That is surprsing to hear since some states like Texas don't have branches at all and people were still able to apply for the Cash+ and Altitude Go/Connect cards

Certainly a very nice limit!

They will consider overall exposure so it appears that your reported income, revenue and assets seem to be in line with your USB relationship. At some point, they may ask for financials depending on when you cross a certain UW threshold -- it will be different for everyone. They can go high and it seems they've knocked your socks off so far 😂

I would have no problem if they did ask for financials at the moment. I am assuming the external accounts I have linked so I have a better dashboard to look over them may have played a part as well. In any case we may find out soon enough what Socks wants or not wants from me if they keep giving me more credit lol

Congrats on the card. This is prob a long shot, but I have a personal US bank account and CC with a $18K CL. My CLI have been soft pulls and I am wondering, if they would do a SP with an already existing customer banking realtionship for a business CC?

@AzCreditGuy With USBank and new apps (biz or personal) it will always be a HP.

I've been with them for a while, and they still HP new apps for current or prospect customers.

CLI's used to be a HP everytime, but that has since changed as of a few years ago.

Also as a side note on what CR they pullI I've seen them pull TU, or EX reports.

If I'm not mistaken the Biz CC's tend to choose TU, but YMMV.
