Does anyone know if you decide to obtain a AmEx business card if they do a SP or HP? I have 2 personal cards already. Thx in advance.

Different people have had different experiences with this. Personally, I got a hard pull for the 1st Amex business card and another hard pull for my first personal card. Any subsequent applications have not been hard pulls.

It's almost always a soft pull for people who already have an Amex card.

Since your post relates to a business card, you should ask a moderator to move this to "Business credit".

My first Amex personal is a hard pull. Another hard pull when applying for the business. After that I apps for another personal and business with a soft pull. Those two apps is on July 3rd. I think if your credit profile doesn't change much, it might be a soft pull. Good luck.

@Suzette2 My second personal Amex card and my first business Amex card were both soft pulls since I already had an Amex card.

I have 2 personal and 2 business AMEX cards and all were SP, except for the very first one.

In the majority of cases your first card with Amex will be a HP and all following card will be SPs. There are exceptions but you'll never know if that is you till you apply.
