Amex Marriott Bonvoy Business APPROVAL

I applied for the Amex Marriott Bonvoy Business card on 12/23 and was sent a denial about 15 minutes later. I was discouraged because I specifically closed my Hilton business card a month prior, so i could make room for this card. I am looking forward to stacking the 15 nights from my Ritz and this card to hit a higher status, quicker, as well as the room rate discount, AND i planned to use this card to pay my tax bill this month to get the 75k SUB.

I recieved the denial letter in the mail yesterday evening, opened it, and the only reason for denial was due to having the max number of CC with Amex (5). So i called Amex recon today, explained that i closed my Hilton Business card to make room for this card, at the end of November. He put me on hold to discuss with their underwriting, and came back about 5 minutes later with an approval. So, the card should be here in about a week, i'll pay my tax bill to hit the SUB, and will be on my way to next tier status as i begin my stays with work.

SL: $10,000. Unsure of APR, but doesn't matter as i pay my cards in full every month.

Yes, this card adds another 15 night credit in addition to the Ritz or AmEx Bonvoy Brilliant 25 nights and give you a total of 40 nights. If you stay for 10 nights, that will give you total 50 nights for Marriott Platinum. AmEx Brilliant card gives you automatic Platinum status anyway. So the incentive of the 15 is gone. But Ritz card does not have that. So it helps in some sense.

I do not use this card much at all, probably just a few $ just to keep it active. The AmEx offers on this card also suck too. Nothing exciting.

The old Chase Business Marriott (Plus) card is much better since it still has the $95 AF. About $30 cheaper, but the same card.
