New Chase Southwest Business card approvals

October 8th I applied for the Southwest Performance business card and was approved with a $24,000 SL and an 80,000 point SUB with $5,000 spend

December 7th I applied for the Southwest Premier business card and was approved with a $19,000 SL and a 60,000 point SUB with $3,000 spend.

I spent most of the requirements and then waited for January 1st to complete the spend on both cards. Now both show the SUB as pending for my statement closing dates of 1/22/2024 and 1/25/2024. Combined this will give me about 148,000 points for 2024 and that earns us the companion pass for the remainder of 2024 and all of 2025. We do not fly Southwest a lot but we do use them 3-5 times a year for flights to Belize. The companion pass combined with the SUB and 75,000 points we already have mean we will have about 8 round trips to Belize in 2024 / 2025 at no out of pocket expense. Pretty sweet deal from Chase & Southwest if you have flights you can use Southwest for.

Data Points for the approvals are FICOs of 850 / 850 / 778. We do not track AZEO but pay all cards in full daily as soon as balances post, some months we have a few cards report and some months they all show zero but I do not think it will make much difference to try and track when charges come through compared to statement dates so we just let it happen naturally. Also 1/24 for new personal cards.

Received notice today that our companion pass was approved! The cards cost a couple hundred bucks but have some flight credits so total for both business cards will be less than $200 and my wife will fly free with me until the end of 2025 for anywhere we fly Southwest!
