For Amex, since business and personal cards would be managed by different departments, possibly there would be no issue. Before finalizing the application, the Amex website would provide you the odds of approval and the introductory offer conditions (APR, SUB). If you see some issues at this stage (that I doubt), you may drop the application. Anyway, the application typically would be also SP and a potential denial would not cause any issue.

Hi,

As you can see in the title, I have some questions on the WF signify card and Amex Blue Business Plus card.

I have a WF personal card and have a good "relationship" with WF. One of my first CCs was a WF card but I have also had mortgage and brokerage accounts with them in the past. Mortgage was transferred recently but I had that mortgage for 12 years.

My question is, on the signify card does prior relationship and having a personal card with them improve odds of approval? Are their CLs on business cards higher than on personal cards?

Does WF pull EX in Texas?

With Amex, I recently got back in with them for a personal amex platinum, a few days ago. Super excited because of the SUB and the perks, love amex for travel. My question is, should I wait a while before pulling the trigger on an Amex Blue Business Plus card?
I have 2 HPs showing on my EX report. Scores are good, 741.

Other scores listed below. Waiting for some balances to update to AZEO status before pulling the trigger.

For WF, the benefit of an already business account will likely not be a huge factor. They will pull your EX F9 and your Business Experian.

If by chance you are interested in opening a business credit account, you'll need to unlock your personal EX and they'll do a SP at Checking Account opening and if at that time, you will be notified and no HP would occur. If not, simply cold app'ing and expect the pulls.

For AMEX, if you're new back in with them, I would give it some time to settle in. 4 to 6 months should do it. They will also depending on your track record, approve you for a business card without another HP...that is based purely on your current relationship so time will help out.

Also, as mentioned they do have that preapproval tool but unsure of the validity of getting a HP if an offer is extended.
