Amex Business Checking App Denied

Amex denied my application for a Business checking account today. Not gonna lie, I did want those 30K MR points. Oh well, you can't always get what you want.

Should I even bother calling to ask why? They just approved me for my first Amex card this week, a BBP, so I'm inclined to not poke the bear for now and just be happpy with that.

chase also uses experian for identity when applying for a deposit account

Okay, so I called. The rep confirmed it's a verification issue but couldn't say for sure if it was because my Experian was locked. So I think that's probably the issue. She said I would need to reapply.

Agree the locked CR is probably the issue, hopefully you can reapply and still qualify for the MR SUB

I think my 3 bureaus were frozen when I opened the biz checking, but I had a few cards with them already so maybe I was already pre-verified.

In the past they denied my attempt at opening one because the business address was home to too many businesses so they didn't consider it a valid location.

That's a good point there at the last, that having too many business accounts at the same address may trigger denials. Good to know.

I unfroze both my Experian and Lexis-Nexis reports today and reapplied. Instant approval.
