Does anyone know if Cap One will penalize you for too many applications within a short period of time? I recently upgraded my Quicksilver One card to a Venture One card & at the same time I applied for a Venture card & was approved. I own a small businss and I've been running my charges through this account getting the miles.

Well, now I'm thinking I probably should have applied for the Spark Visa card b/c that one gives you 2% back on every purchase.

I've only had the Venture One & Venture cards for about 2 months. Do you think it would raise any eyebrows to apply for another card so soon?

I'd wait at least another month. Technically on the little brochure they mailed me before I applied for my last Capital One card it says you cannot apply for more that two cards in a 30 day time frame. Not many lenders like me, but for some reason Capital One does. I currently have the Venture, Quicksilver, Spark Miles and Spark Cash cards. You are allowed a maximum of five it said in the mailer and the business customer service agent said that as well.

The easiest of the Spark cards to be approved for is the Gold one, Spark Classic but I think it starts you at a very low credit limit. Just fyi
