How long did it take for any of you WaMu CC holders to see offers for their Mastercard or any other CC they offer?

I've got wamu, they nearly begged me to take a card with them. I don't hardly ever use it. I just keep it open as another positive trade line. I don't get offers from them anymore now so i guess only using the card twice in 6 months isn't gonna get me much.

I'm about to hit my 6th statement and the only offer I got is a 2.99% transfer offer. I won't start using the card a lot until they convert it to a rewards card.

I'm confused. What is there besides the mastercard? I just opened an online checking/savings with them and got the offer for the MC and was approved. But I didn't see any others credit card products.

From my understanding they only offer to cards the regular MasterCard & the Rewards MasterCard that's it.

I am in CA, I think they check EX, I got my first pre-approval when my EX score crossed 700.

Judging from the scores in your .sig, it did what it was supposed to do, and helped to raise your FICO considerably.

Indeed. Now to just use it once a year to keep it around. I've got a card from barclays, such an attitudinal bank BTW. I treat it the same way as the Wamu.

The standard Platinum MC can be upgraded to a 1% cashback card, but that is by invitation only.

They also have WaMu Real Rewards Platinum MC, which earns points instead of cash (this is the one I have), but that one is only available through preapprovals and cannot be applied for cold.

they have co brand cards but they only found respective sites(ie ESPN, PETSMART)

they last CCC that uses 60 cycles, which doesn't bother me I always PIF and I get to carry changes for 60 days instead of 30, which main "feature" I applied for

cheddar, I have the Real Rewards MC from WAMU for 2 years now and I applied "cold". Maybe they've changed the rules - for what I don't know. WAMU, IMO, is not a very good credit card company. They should stay in plain banking and real estate. Oh, wait a minute! I read in the LA Times that they had a big scandal about paying appraisers to pass house inspections so they could close deals. Tsk, tsk, WAMU!

Well, that's interesting. When I got my preapproval for Real Rewards MC in the mail, I called to find out about the card. I asked why I had never seen an application for the card online, and the CSR told me this card was offered by preapproval only.

Bah. They'll tell you anything to get you to apply.

i have the wamu "readers rewards platinum visa" i get free books from my book club with the points. i don't use it, i added my son as au for his "expenses"

I thought about the Readers Reward Platinum Visa but I think I like the MyPoints one better. Unfortunately, they are only offering 1K points for opening a new account. That sucks. If they were offering 10K-20K points, I'd be all over it!
