Discover it card - Magenta color?!?

Hi, this is my first post here. After doing research, I decided to apply for one of the various credit card offers I recieved in the mail. Discover it card seemed like a solid card, so I applied and was approved.

The card came today. I was shocked upon opening it, as the card is sort of a magenta color, as opposed to the blue card that is advertised. What does this mean? Is it not a discover it card, but perhaps a lesser card? "it" is indeed printed on the card, and the intro apr is 0% for 14 months. I was expecting the blue card, so I am unsure as to what this means.

Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks very much.

you can order different colors / designs on the discover website.

it's the same card, just different designs.

Interesting. Thank you. I wanted to make sure it was legit. Like I said, I applied for it from a pre-screened offer. Hadn't applied for credit in 2 years so said what the hey, this looks like a great card.

Welcome to the forum as well as to the Discover family. Yes, it is a great card, you'll definitely love it.

You can order additional cards in different designs or color- under your main account page, go to manage account and then click on add/replace card and you'll see all the available designs there.

I just got a second card in copper. I get compliments quite a bit on the card, my DG just got the plum card as well its pretty cool looking too. Congrats on the Discover card and enjoy it, I've been using it waaaay to much .

So, it doesn't look bad? I was going to try it out, but the pic on the site makes it look like it's not very attractive.

I just ordered a magenta one for myself. The copper one did look a little plain, glad to hear it looks good in hand.

Congrats...you will love this card and good luck in selecting your favorite design. I have 2 the Garnet red and the one with the red sunflower...love them both...ha ha ladies colors as my partner always jokes

edit: it is not a sunflower ..ha ha... it is called Daisy Gerbera this is my favorite design and this is the card I am using in Europe and get a lot of attention..free publicity for Discover....merchants go ...oh wait can I see your card and then turn it around a couple of times...they are not familiar with Discover and the design gets some attraction more than the metal Chase card

I agree I saw the picture online and it was more brown. But the actual card has a nice metalic copper color looks nice with the orange "IT" and silver "DISCOVER". I really like the card! The plum is awesome too...for the ladies of course lol.

Can you have two cards at once?

I assumed if you ordered a different design they would "kill" the first card.

You can indeed have two cards active at once. Actually it may be more, currently I have my original blue IT and the copper IT, keep one at home and one in my wallet just incase. Pretty nice feature really.

when you order a new design you can select to replace an existing card or add as new card..nice feature to have a card in both of my wallets.

i got copper today. took a pic here http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=1zdm4cl&s=8 i think Garnet may be more ME. I wish i could see it in person before ordering it though.

I started with the Discover It - Blue card. Ironically, i received the Discover It - Garnet card in the mail today. Both cards look great.

Though, I will say it took me a while to get use to the Discover It - Blue card as the magnetic strip was at the bottom opposed to the top on the reverse side.
