What's Your Favorite Department Store Card & Why

Well for me i hit the jack pot when i was recently approved for a Wal-Mart card i shop there more then anywhere an i also shop at Sams Club where i can also use my Wal-mart card. Only thing i just need a hire CL then i'll really be able to buy some big ticket items if i need to.

Right now, I love my Target Redcard. I was sooo happy when I got approved.I love Target and everything in their store. However, their limit is so low that its really just for small items.

I just got a walmart card with $500 so I think they will see more of my monthly love than Target.

I use to love Target back in the day but as i got older i'm starting to notice they can be a lil pricey on some of there household items.

omg, I just noticed that the otherday. Like their deordarant and makeup is more expensive....I can't afford to pay the extra couple of bucks on these little items anymore, haha.

Yeah you would be better of getting those items at Wal-Mart.

Ours are Macy's they always send us 25% off coupons and Childrens Place also for they great discounts they give us.

Macy's. The first 'credit' (well, it's a store card, but they gave me credit) card I was accepted for after moving to the US, and despite the fact I don't use it very much at all, they are very generous with the CLIs. I have Macy's to thank for the fact that I actually have a credit score here - and from that $100 limit Macy's card came better things... therefore, they rock!

Macy's- They always have some sort of discount if you use your macy's card (15% off purchase) and they always send coupons.

For me it is my Express card. They are very generous with the CLI...I've never had to ask for a CLI and I'm at $1200. They are always sending me coupons and discount cards in the mail as well as in my email. I've slowed down majorly on my spending but that card defintely got a really good workout in law school when I worked there part time.

Macy's..............even though I hate shopping, the good thing about Macys is that it's right down the road from a TGIF.

My BR Banana card is great. I can use it at BR, GAP, and Old Navy and even get free shipping and coupons to use online and in the stores.

i DON'T have one I hve 5 major credit cards, and not going to do that to my credit mix, enven though would such little impact that be noticable. nows days alot of "store cards" are branded major credit cards, the Old Navy /Gap Visa has a great rewards program, just to bad the have nothing for buying(Don't know about GAP, but have an old Navy and think they are trashy)

I only have one department store card - Macys. I don't really spend a lot there. I wish Bath and Body Works had their own store card. I spend a small fortune there!

At one point I thought about getting a Best Buy card but when I took my notebook there to be fixed by the "Geek Squad", they didn't even know how to take the back off to look inside! That did it for me.

My Express card works at Bath and Body Works...same company. Which is weird because Victoria's Secret and The Limited are also the same company but they each have their own CC...not universal like GAP, Banana, and Old Navy.

Macy's Gold Card. There's not much else in Hawaii except for Sears (hate em) and Nordstroms, too darn expensive.

I actually have a question about department store cards. Do co-branded store cards (MC/Visa/Amex) count in your credit mix as store cards? And also, do they count as consumer finance lines of credit (which I hear are a small ding on your FICOs)?

and I'd love to have that Nordstrom Visa Signature ... out of my reach for a while though, at least until I start making more money...

I love my macy's card so far. I think I would love Dillards but they gave me such a horrible cl that I can't enjoy them. Can't wait to see what their CLI will look like soon, I'm afraid it will be a pathetic 100 though.

Kohl's is my fav. If you pay a certain % they do not charge interest. I also like getting the extra coupons.

Best Buy. I've purchased a laptop, new TV, and a digital camera, all at different times, and taken advantage of their no interest for 6 months things. I didn't have to pay for the items right away, but I still didn't have to pay for interest.

Love the card!
