When is my start date for my Amex 61st day CLI

I was approved for my Amex BCE on Dec 5th... Waiting for delivery within 7-10 days.. Then will activate.. Does my start day for a 61st day CLI start when I was approved on Dec 5th.. Or does it start when I activate the card.. Any info would be much appreciated! To my fellow FICO members.. Continue Success on The World of Credit Cards!

Either start a chat or call and ask for your account creation date and its 61 days from that date use the website I gave u earlier

I submitted my request 61 days after I received an e-mail from them staying that I was approved (I activated the card more than a week after I was approved).

It starts from the date you were approved not when activated.

This has nothing to do with being unfriendly - it just sucks big time when ppl ask questions which have been answered 100 times before and don't even bother to look for the answer themself. Ever heard of the term "spoonfeeding"? It's what they do with little babies - not with folks who are old enough to carry a credit card.

you know its amazing how many different answers for a single question. now im not sure as well. i was approved october 7th now im not sure if today is my 61 day or if tomorrow. so now what should i do. i will just go to chat and ask . i will get back to you in a few minutes.

It's part of the TOS to be supportive friendly and respectful if members don't have anything productive or positive to say why not post at al?l we're all hear to learn from one another let's not ruin it for new members

Simple answer op. The start date is your approval date. I wasa provoked oct 7th. 61 days. Dec 8th. Got my cli last night. Did not activate card until a week later.

A friendly reminder.

There is never an excuse or reason to be disrespectul to another member; especially a new member. How quickly some people ( I am also guilty of this) forget how lost they were when they first became a member. And how they were helped by more experienced members without sarcastic remarks.

We all learn and move forward at different speeds. Who among us had all the answers when we first got here? None.

Remember that we might have typed the same answer hundreds of times but the new member doesn't have that knowledge and deserves our attention and respect. And help.

If you can't find it in yourself to respond in the proper way than I suggest you move on without commenting at all.

Posts can and will be edited and/or removed if need be.
