Did any one get approved for Amex card in the last couple of days?

Did any one get approved for Amex card in the last couple of days? I applied for Biz Gold Card and when check the online app status it states "in progress". I called CSR and they said it is with the bank to assign CL or decline. I am surprised it took 2 days and still in "in progress" status. Did any one app for Amex card in the last couple days and if so what is the out come of your app?

I know that I always keep a $0 balance on my Amex Card. I might get a burger on it every couple months then I immediately pay it online as soon as the charge posts. IMO, Amex is a pretty useless card company. With all of the FR's and CL deez. I mean who needs a card that they're scared to use? Plus they are always WAY behind on reporting to the CRA's. When you call in you have to listen to that beeping crappe. I'm not impressed with them at all.

I could not keep my fingers away from the applicaton for Biz Gold. Oh well I'll wait couple of more days to see if the status changes to some thing more meaningful instead of "in process". I have been using my Platinum Personal Card and doing a PIF almost every week so my balance never exeed $300-500. That is the reason I am thinking I might get Biz Gold. Again I agree it is not worth having to depend on Amex in this current financial conditions. I am glad I have my Citi and City National Bank Cards with very good limits.

concorduser, do you think that you'll keep your personal plat once the fee comes due again? I would think that by now, you have biz cards with the same benefits. A great card for travelers, but too pricey for my wallet!

Good Question. I am not sure. Most likely I might down grade it to Gold or even Green and avoid the fees. Let us see what they say about Biz Gold App. If I get Biz Gold then I might even close my Personal Plat Card. Every time I check the online app status it still show as "in progress".

Plum app was friday, said it was being processed, then got email about 5 min. later saying approved.

I called CSR again this morning. She said my CR is not pulled yet that could be reason for delay. She said she will keep an eye on the app today and if nothing happens she will talk to people. From what I understand it is at Bank waiting for the CL to be assigned. I am too chicken to apply for plum card. I have too many inq's on my EX ( 50 to be exact)

What is your scores to get Plum? How many new accounts and inq's on your CR?
