Has anyone had problems swiping their freedom card?

My freedom card is a little beat up I guess and when I go to my local store it doesn't swipe properly like the first ten times I try. I have only had this problem with a certain card reader, but I am wondering if its my card wearing out or if its an issue with the reader. Has anyone else had problems with their freedom card wearing out?

i had problem with my CSP had to call chase for them to send me an new card.

Hmm. So far I haven't had a problem with my CSP. Knock on wood. I'm trying to wait on requesting a new freedom until I move some credit over to it to get it above 5k that way I can get a new freedom that is a visa sig.

i have over 5k on my freedom and they haven't upgraded me to visa sig its not an big deal for me yet, since ink plus and csp are visa sig.

How did you get over 5k on the freedom? Was it part of your initial line or you got a CLI after the issuance?

CLI i had an few auto CLI since i got my freedom . I didn't really bother with visa sig, since i have ink plus and CSP

swipe with plastic bag over it normally does the trick

Yes it hasn't been a priority for me either, since I had the CSP and Bold, but when I get rid of the CSP it would be nice to have it on my freedom.

No I have not... Even my oldest beat up cards still work. They spend more time in card readers now than my wallet

True, but I'm going to move some credit over to my freedom in the next month or two and wanted to wait until then to get a new card so I could get the visa sign version at that time. Also, I have not had a problem with other readers yet. It just looks really beatup though. If I request a new card do they shut off my current one or can I keep using it in the meantime?
