Barclay AAdvantage Aviator Silver AND Citi Executive MC

Both offer 10k EQM per year. Is a person allowed to have both and take this benefit twice? I realize the annual fee is a deterrent to some to double dip, but the Exec has club privileges, so I figure I just need to have a couple hundred drinks a year to justify that one.

Yes you can have both. Word to the wise, its slim pickings for free booze in those clubs but it beats $15 for a Budlight at Applebees.

Afaik, you can't apply for the Barclays AA card. Were you converted to the card?

I don't have it yet, I'm anticipating getting rolled into it when the programs merge from my US airways card. I was just going to close the acct but having the opportunity to stay ExPlat only actually flying 80EQM's is very appealing.

Barclays is dead set on not giving me another US Air card. Its been 45 days so i tried again. It said "one app per 30 days". Didn't even HP

I'm about to succumb. hell I'd let em close my arrival and move the limit over. I don't use my arrival.

Will these miles convert to AAdvantage miles if I dont use them before the merger?

I think I'm gonna have to break $1k off from my Arrival to get a US Air card. Stupid me at the time didn't see the significance of the offer they had at the time and I PCed the card into an arrival and was too impatient to wait another day for the card to arrive so I could have gotten the 40k points.

Have somene receive the invite by mail? Just called Barclay and unfortunately the rep I spoke with does not have any information however she mentioned the merge will be at second quarter. I'd not mind upgrading to the silver one. Nice looking card

Out of curiousity how do the Barclays AA cards stack up to the citi AA cards? Keeping in mind that the US Air card had some benefits/cut and changed as of 2015, so its not the same card it was in 2014.

Let's hope so. I really thought I was gonna get instant approval on this card again especially since I'm helping someone get a bonus too but ugh.

My DGF was denied for it last night minutes after being approved for the Citi AA card. Her TU Score is her highest at 730. I'm going to have her call Monday to recon.

My latest TU is like 738. If they say no I'm just gonna move all my arrival limit over. I used up my 10,000 mile PC bonus already, so I don't need it.

That's what happened to me. Call recon and they'll submit the app for you. I got approved last night for 50k offer.
