Next early June, I plan to apply for th CSP after my 180 3x CLI from AmEx kicks in (hopefully of course). That'll put my AmEx at 18K so I'll have a "comparable limit" for Chase to approve me for the CSP.

Do you think with the same HP they can look at lowering my APR on my Freedom/increasing that limit?

I plan to actually go into my local Chase branch for all of this so I can talk to the rep. But have any of you guys had any luck with Chase doing a few things for you off one HP?

I'm not an expert by any means, but from spending days and days worth of time reading on here this is what I have come to figure out about Chase. If you have a decent improvement on your credit profile the easiest way to get a CLI with Chase would be to just open another card and get a high starting limit, then move your CLs around between cards to whatever fits your needs. So if you want a CSP with a big limit, get a CSP and Slate at the same time. Once you get the cards, move the Slate limit to the CSP, BAM! CLI on the CSP.

I've also considered seeing if they'll just use the same HP to apply for another Freedom and close the one I have. So I can get a lower APR and a higher limit after transferring what I bave over. Thoughts?

If you are pre-qual'ed for the Freedom it will show you what APR you would likely get approved for. It isn't a bad idea just depends on what they are willing to extend you.

I've had my Chase account for 9 years I started with Chase Cash rewards but then Chase changed mine to freedom been sitting on my 15k limit for past 6 years
Two month ago I decided to get Chase CL above 20k so had to use HP(Experian) I requested 30k but I realistically expected them to only match my Wells Fargo at 25k surprisingly Chase approved me for all 30k and it became my highest limit

why anyone want a freedom for 30K is beyond me, it is a low capped card with 1500 per quarter, any amount you charge after that is waste.
I called chase to CLD my 2 freedoms from 5 digits to 3k and 2K because that is more than I need.
Everybody is different, I have other uncapped high limit card to cover large purchase is also be considered.

Chase would have given me a CLI of 500$ on my 4K Freedom with a douple HP on EQ and EX ... I declined and applied for the Marriott instead and got 16K and just moved 1K over to Freedom to get a 5K Freedom. Chase loves to issue new cards and is the most stingy with CLIs at least for me. APR reduction is a mission impossilbe ...they agressivly send BT offer on Freedom but never consider lowering regular APR. Chase is weird

Quick question, what are the requirements or quide lines to get a credit limit of say 5K+. Is it monthly income that plays an important factor and if so how much would one have to make to expect a limit of that kind at the very least?

Thanks to all who can give some input on this.
