AMEX 3X CLI?

Just curious: I opened my first AMEX in the beginning of decemeber. It's an AMEX ED card with a $5,000 limit. Today I opened a Costco TE Amex with the same $5,000 limit. My question is... Can I still apply for the 3X CLI on my 61st day with my ED card even though I was just approved for the Costco AMEX?

Absolutely can do.

In the future, I would have waited for 61 days, do the 3X CLI, THEN app for the next card. That way your new card will closer match your CLI'd card as far as starting limit.

For example, I opened a Green Card, then a Costco card. Got $3,000 on Costco card.

Waited 61 days and did 3X CLI to $9,000 on Costco.

I then apped Gold card, then Blue Cash Preferred and got a Starting Limit of $10,000 on BCP

But absiolutely no guarantee that that will work. Depends on too many other factors.
