Penfed: a well-oiled machine

I have credit balances on my two penfed cards (due to overenthuastic bill pay pushing), and I am not using the cards currently, so I sent a secure email asking them to move the balances to my share account.

A day later I get an email sent to me gmail account (so not even using the messaging system they supply) telling me that to this I need to speak to a rep. I do that, and after explaining what I want, the rep puts me on hold for 20 minutes, and then says she has placed the order to request the transfer. We'll see if and when it happens. Why a secure email wasn't enough I don't know.

In contrast, US Bank sent me a check for a balance as soon as I asked, and Cap One refunds without asking!

After about 5 minutes my ears start to steam.

Credit unions have their advantages.

Expediency is not one of them.

Yep apped to one last week and still waiting for approval for my membership! Seriously last wendesday and they are still clueless where to process stands as the mail would of got there several days ago with my ss card and dl copy! They have their goods and bads!

lack of process seems to be all of their weeknesses.

UNFCU took over four weeks to get me a card after it was approved.

And I thought NASA was slow.
