You will want to transfer to ED before you cancel PRG, just a heads up.

ED is a different product category. You will need to app for new card, BUT, if the BC class is over 13 months old, you can transfer the limit to ED.

In a YMMV scenario, you may be able to get the bonus by apping for a new product category, class. Others can chime in on this experience.

Has anyone gotten AMEX to PC the BCE/BCP to EDP/ED? Once I cancel PRG, I'd like to get ED to keep my MR, but I really don't need another account. Just wondering if there are recent datapoints (not the posts I was finding from early 2014 when these cards were introduced).

I guess I'll close my BCE in December and app for the ED or the EDP if I get a targeted 25k offer in January before I cancel PRG/am offered a retention bonus (fat chance...lol).
