AU Amex Business Card VS Personal Card Question?

Hello every one. I'm back with a question.

I've tried searching for it all over but either my wording is not right or i saw different answers, so please forgive me if I wasn't using the search function correctly.

So I have my Amex BCE since 05/14. I got promoted at work and my manager is willing to add me as AU to their cards so it can be easy for me ordering and paying for stuff anywhere. My question was that after getting added to their account, can my personal card's "member since" date be changed to the one I will be Authorized User of?

Or am I having the right kinda feeling that since my first card with Amex was since 05/14 so I won't be able to change?

Personal and Business accounts are separate. So that alone means that your Business MSD will be different from your personal MSD. As far as the whole AU scenario, Amex stopped backdating AUs a few years ago. Even if you have an MSD of 2014, and you become an ACM on an older account today, say that account was opened in 2000, the account will report as 01/2015 for you, regardless of your MSD or the other person's MSD. Thus, as a current Amex card holder, becoming an AU on someone else's Amex will result in the account reporting as new on your credit report.

It am not sure, but I believe that you are stuck with your MSD; I had an Amex back in 1992, I am an AU on my BF's card (business card) my MSD is 92 while his is 95. Others more versed in this area will chime in, but you can always call and ask them they are very nice.
