Has anyone been approved for another BOA cc while they have a fully secured card???

When I applied I had 3 negative accounts on my EX report. After they correct my report I will only have 1 negative account that will become a positive account in December (sl rehab). What are the chances that they would give me an unsecured card after just getting a secured card? After I get the 2nd baddie to report correctly I believe my EX score will be over 700.

Why don't you just wait it out i heard they unsecure your card after 9 months if u treat it good.

I have the 99/500 card which I received in Oct 2007 and May 2008 I applied for the World Points MC and received it with an intial 5000.00. I called and got CLI to 8000.00 then did on line CLI where I am now with 10,000 WP MC. My 99/500 will be unsecured Aug 1st .Ex: 689

This is an update: I received the unsecure card on Aug 1.with 1000.00 credit limit. I received my 99.00 deposit last week. On today I called and asked for World points to be added, I will receive card approx. 3wks. While I was on the phone I decided to ask for a CLI the woman asked me how much did I want, I didnt want to be greedy so I said 5000.00 She put me on hold for a few min and came back and told me my new cl will be avail immed. I checked the computer and there it was. Now I have 5000.00 Plat Plus VIsa WP and 10,000.00 MC with WP all since Oct 07 and May 08. For those who are struggling, I started to rebuild Oct 07 with several FP, Orchard, Credit 1, Hooters, Cap 1, HSBC with CL from 250.00-500.00 When Amex came me a chance with 8,600.00 I couldnt believe it now at 10,100 I refuse to touch button I closed all the builders and now I have

Amex Blue 10,100

BOA Visa WP 5,000

BOA MC WP 10,000

Cap 1 4850 and buying its time

Navy nrewards MC 14,000

Navy nrewards Visa 14,000

Target 500 I love Target and its in walking distance

All things are possible

If it were me I would wait until it becomes unsecured.I had the 99/500 and my Experian report was pulled monthly.I had 3 baddies and it took me 18 months to get rid of the 2.after 18 months I got a pre approval for a new card.Was approved with a limit of 2000.One month later I got an increase to 3000. BOA is good in the long run,they are looking for on time payments and usage,no cash advances,this is per the credit analyst that I spoke to. GOOD LUCK
