My Citi AAdvantage MasterCard was changed from World to World Elite? In a nutshell, is there any real difference?

You now get a silver MC logo on your card instead of the yello/orange combo

If you don't use the WMC card benefits...there will be no difference to you. But WEMC just have better card travel benefits that the MC and WMC cards don't have.

Losing the clown logo is easily the best benefit.

I think he meant "cash" as opposed to points, not actual physical cash. From the linked article: "these benefits upgrade travelers to business class when they purchase a full fare economy ticket, or offer discounts of 20% – 30% off of the purchase of business or economy class tickets."
