I've read that some banks' cards don't look different on the reports of authorized users, is that right?

What is the flag that says a card is an AU account? Are there indirect clues, such as years of history but an "insertion date" saying it was first added to your report a few months ago?

Some banks dont look at them such as Barclays.

I added my sister as an AU. Her score jumped to 760s and got a Discover card. Then 3 months got a Chase Freedom.

My bf added him and he tried Barclays but they said no because he doesn't have any individual accounts.

So from my experience it looks like Discover might allow it and maybe Chase? Barclays is a no.

They will be noted as AU on every report, but some cards such as CapOne will give your AU the starting date that you got the card.

I asked because of two things. One, Nerdwallet listed which cards report AUs and mentioned that for Discover and US Bank, the "report looks different from that of primary accountholder," so I thought other cards looked the same for AUs. Does anyone know how Discover and US Bank are different?

Two, I just read on another thread that CRAs show a date called something like an insertion date that could show that a 20-year-old AU account has only been on my report for a few months. Is that the case?
