Good point.

If no IR change than no point in doing it.

I'll just add the new Diamond then close the AAdvanage just before the next AF.

Does anyone have the Diamond and if so, does it provide the EQ FICO like the AAdavantage does?

I have had a Citi AAdvantage Card since 2007.

I used tro travel a lot on AmericanAir so it made sence.

Now I don't travel very often so I don't need the benifits nor the higher Interest Rate (15.24%)

I see that according to thier pre-qualify page, I am good to go with their Diamond Card at 11.99%

My question: Has anyone ever had them switch a card, and does it involve a Hard Pull?

Did it by calling the CSRs with good luck. Oh, after thought is that all Aprs and credit limits remained the same as the card before the p/c.

The problem with PCs is that APR does not always change. Don't do a PC just for an APR change as you likely won't get it.

Yes , It does... But the citi diamond points are not really good for much. Reseach much before you get that card.
