Unfortunately they will do the triple pull again for the 2nd app.

Personally, I would opt for Quicksilver. Still has a 0% period and you'll get use out of the rewards after you pay off your balance. I don't know anyone who can't stand 1.5% back. You can find some usage for it I'm sure!

Quick Question

Looking to open another card with Capital One. I am currently receiving a pre-approval on their site for the Quicksilver and the Prestige Platinum.

I am looking to transfer my current balance of $3,000 to a new card with a 0% APR intro so I can pay it down. I see a lot of good reviews for Quicksilver as it has rewards. I wouldn't really need the rewards as I am just trying to pay this down. Quicksilver after the intro rate goes to 17% while the Prestige is at 14.9.

My question, if I apply for a 2nd card, do they pull all three? Will they at least match what I am currently at right now or possibly more? I only plan to pay down on this.....

Thanks!

I actually have a couple other reward cards, with the same reward offers.... my main concern is seeing if they will match my current credit limit of (5,300) or possibly increase it. I've been with them for a few years and do get credit line increases so that's not an issue. I've just been carrying a balance and would like to get it lowered without the APR.

I actually just upgraded my old capital one card to the Venture card. I haven't received this in the mail. My account still shows the same limit.... do they usually increase the CL when receiving a converted card ? The Venture I will be receiving is the no fee one.

Thanks! I do have Chase as well but I believe it's not as high as the Capital One CL..... I haven't even used the Chase card as I am just trying to pay down on the Capital One ( I have great credit with them and above average credit all together)

It will probably be a triple pull. However, the benefits of Chase Slate over QS is that, while both have 0% intro APR financing, Slate also has 0% balance transfer fee, whereas QS is 3%, I think. Could be a nice chunk of change saved by going with Slate.

Only downside to Chase is that I have the Chase Freedom card with a $2,000 limit, currently using $0. Never have used this card. APR is high with my Freedom card as well. Capital One I am currently at 14.9%, credit limit of $5,300.

Chase probably won't allow for a higher credit limit to transfer around 2,500-3,000 over to them.
