Who Gave You Credit?

Ok, The website who gave me credit is definitely valuable but also has it's setbacks. I was thinking because we all try to support and help each other that we could create a thread with so much great feedback it would form a sticky. I thought of this because so many of us ask the Q who pulls certain cra's in the States we live in, what cl did we get and what score did we have. I'd say we hold it to just last 2 years of personal experience so it would be most up to date and if possible what score we had..

Ok, I will go first. I live in PA.

APPROVALS

Loans

HFC 17000 HELOC 460 score pulled TU 4/2006

HFC 20000 LOC 455 score pulled TU 8/2007

(hfc as of 2008 will not approve anyone below 520 score and will not provide more than

one loan to one customer.)

Credit Cards:

Home Depot 1000cl 622 score pulled EX 4/2008

HSBC best buy rewards master card 300cl 616 score pulled EX 4/2008

Macy's 100cl 619 score pulled EX 4/2008

Orchard 300cl 578 score pulled EX 4/2008

Crown Jewelers 1500cl 3/2008 (no credit check but small down pay for purchases for 6 months)

Denials

HSBC Master card 619ish score pulled EX 4/2008 said I already had an hsbc card (orchard).

Called CSR and she told me I could however get the BEST BUY mastercard rewards and I was approved.

looking at my inq.... EX is like double the amount then other agency so im making sure EX is atleast worked on most....

i am finding lately almost everyone pulls either ex or eq... eq seems to be very big locally also and finding every cu i looked at pulls eq.

to add, i apped for boa and they pulled eq darn't. i did the live chat and the guy told me they randomly pull one of the three.

I think its a really good idea but people have to post often enough to keep it near the top (or get it stickied) else out of sight...

We live in AR, HHI 76K and in July 2008, I/we tried for:
Juniper Sea Miles, approved 3K TU 674
Barclay's Barnes & Noble, approved 2K TU 674
WaMu, approved 8K TU 674
CCCU, declined EX 624

DH-
Barclay's U.S. Airways, approved 3K TU 689
WaMu, approved 8K TU 689
Fidelity, declined EX 651

Also, I recently applied for a 2nd Cap One card and was declined. **trying to calm down, not get worked up again** I've heard they pull all three which would have been about EQ 665, TU 674, EX 624 at the time. HTH

New to the forums...........I just received an ORCHARD BANK MC credit limit $750.00

Am 4 yrs out of chapter 13; have 2 paid Fed liens; 3 closed cc accts ( 2/bk....1/consumer closure)

2 car loans pd in full / bk; 2student loans / current; 1 mortgage / current

Arizona Resident

Scores:8/04/08

Experian: 677

Equifax: 690

TU: 635

Experian shows the inquiry:

But wanted to share this link referring to credit pulls by State / area code.

Anyone have any input or thoughts on this one?

Don't forget to say where you're located and HHI if you're willing. Its all this info put together that really helps others decide if an app is worth the pull.

July 2008: Discover More, Approved, $4k, pulled TU Score was 735ish

June 2008: Chase Freedom, Approved on Recon, $1K, Pulled TU & EX, Scores were 740 TU and 690 EX (old medical collection still on report, falls off Sept 2008)

June 2008: PenFed, Approved for $1k after providing my everything but my 1st born - took a week - they hate me for being self-employed, Pulled EQ, Score was 748

Not to create a lot of extra work, but it'd probably be helpful if someone would post the information in a chart and edit it as info is added (would be a nice quick reference).

I think this is a great idea. In addition to this, I would like to see us all give a brief summary of DEROGS. Judging on my scores alone, I would think I could get my fair share of credit products, but with a few CA in the mix most CCC will tell me otherwise. If I see someone getting approved for a certain card I have had my eyes on, I might notice our scores are on par but the difference is, they have a clean report and I have the past of a deadbeat. Inquiries are too precious to waste IMHO. The one too many could be the one that blocks you from that CL you want.

Hehe. I'd like to buy the scores of a few others on this board. I'll tell ya what...if I can get some high 700's, I'll turn around and give you my current scores.

I was approved for a Discover card in June 08 and a mortgage through SunTrust in July 08 (we just closed this past Monday...YAY!!) But other than that...I have not really shopped around for credit cards...they have just never been "my thing". I am however looking to add an Amex Clear or Blue to my mix in a few years purely because I like the design of the cards...LOL

Wising up, could you please post your scores and the CRA that was pulled to get your approvals? That will help others determine what they could possibly qualify for if they have similar score, etc.
