@racer-x wrote:

Hope the computers don't start browsing your scores and chop chop chop because of all the new credit, almost 50% of cards reporting balances, and the big drop in scores.

The computers will think you're 'needy' for credit and in trouble.

Most CLD's and AA is/are computer generated and there's not much you can do about it until the scores go up and you PIF some of those balances ASAP.

You hear that a lot but it's such a YMMV thing. I opened 8 new accounts between September and December last year. 2 Barclay cards were the first ones. After that I opened 6 more cards. I've had cli's on every one of them and Barclay just 6 month auto luved me on both those new cards, doubling the limit of the rewards mastercard to $2600 after I let it report 48% utilization that last statement. Like Nixon, I don't freak out if my cards report use and I even have had them all report except Care Credit but my wife had dental work yesterday and I'll be taking advantage of the 18 month no interest.

My scores dropped as I knew they would but at 3 months I got a nice boost for aging (15-18 points/report) and again at 6 months. Scores are steadily rising and pre approvals are even starting to come in. I still have baddies on all reports so I don't expect my scores to ever go above 700 until those are gone but it's fine because I've got what I need for now and as I've said I've gotten decent increases on all the cards I aquired. Even Barclay, who we hear horror stories about AA. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones.

Youll ill be fine with some time and good payment history struggles!

Well not forever but awhile. All of my credit scores were between 689-692 so I kept on apping and with my last small spree, BAM, FICO showed me who was boss literally. TU was 689 and dropped to 625, EX was 690 and dropped to 629 and EQ was 692, dropped to 646 due to AAOA or so it tells me. I was instantly approved for all cards I've apped for in the last few months but this is what happens when you keep going. Since I'm fairly new to the credit game, I'm guessing that is why my scores took such a dip. My scores dropped as soon as the Home Depot and Lowes were added to my reports. I'm quite surprised Chasr gave me auto LUV a few days ago with my score being lower. I am literally not apping for anything else... no new accounts, no INQ'S, nothing. While I have learned my lesson, I don't regret any of it. Just a bump in the road. Can any of you knowledgeable myFico'ers advise on how long before my scores start climbing again? Thank you in advance!

One of which is drop in AAoA. Utilization and accounts with a balance reporting. Inquiries kinda tend lose their edge after 2-3.

My scores dropped just like that after Christmas spending and my utilization was up to 75%. But now since I added $8800 in new credit and paid down some my utilization is around 35% approaching less than 30 soon.

You'll gradually go back up over the next few months. As you said just garden till your scores get in the 700 range.
