Question about WEMC

How high does your credit limit have to be to receive a World Elite Mastercard? I just got a CLI on my US Air card to $5500 and I'm wondering if I can get the new AA WEMC when they merge the programs. I had gotten the notice in the mail that my card would be going to the red AA card, but as I said, with this CLI I'm hoping I can get the WEMC version. Thanks in advance for answering!

$600 with Capital One.

IIRC, the Aviator Silver Card was going to be offered by invitation only to targeted cardholders (AF $195.00). That's the only one that I'm aware of issued as WEMC and if you have the Aviator Red Card (out of the 4 levels they will trasnsition) not sure how easily you can PC to Silver provided your account is even elegible regardless of CL. Someone who may have the Silver or know more about the program will likely chime in.

My impression is that once they've dispersed the new cards in April, anyone may request an upgrade/PC to the Silver.

So Nixon, when I get a cli on my two capital one cards going through credit steps, it will put me over 600 on both. I have the classic platinum and the quicksilver one. Can i ask for an upgrade to WEMC on the QS1 after that happens? I put a LOT of spend on the QS1, and then I'll leave a tiny balance before the statement cuts. That's been my go-to card for sure, as I'm rebuilding.

Sadly, That will not happen on that category of cards.

I was mainly referring to the GM Buypower a member here had with a $600 limit and WEMC.

You will need to get your cards up to ~$3,500+ to achieve WMC, and even then will likely require a PC to No AF QS. Some have been lucky enough to directly PC a QS1 to a QS WMC, but it is rare.

Your best bet is to PC with the EO. Thats how I did it.
