Looking back....What is the WORST credit card you ever had?

As many of us are rebuilding are credit, I am thinking about my worst experience and by far it had to be First Premier. The fees were outrageous!!!

I think my worst card right now is 1st premier just do not like the card at all. To many fees wish i would had never applied.

Yea, I agree. I'm rebuilding now and the fees for First Premier are outrageous. It costs you $7-$11 just to pay your bill. I mean c'mon. At least with the other subprime cards I have I can either pay online or with a eft check for free. I can't wait till my scores get up so I can ditch this card in the shredder.

I would have to say 1st Premier too.

For those that are paying a fee to pay their payment though, just do online payment through the bank you have your checking account with.

First Premier was the worst card I ever had. Hands down.

I've never had a First Premier card, and none of the cards I've had have been absolutely terrible, but I'm going to shake things up a bit and say the worst card I've ever carried is DF's Citi Sears MC.

Just a completely worthless card all around. The card has no AF, but the rewards program costs $25 annually just to participate, and it's nothing to write home about. CLs are stingy, and even with excellent credit, the best APR they can give is around 18+.

She'd close it in two minutes if it weren't her oldest revolving account.

Worst card I ever had was my Chase Freedom.....

I guess I'm just blessed I started off slow with one card with my bank and built with that and a loan for 3 years before I decided it would be a good idea to build credit. Low and behold I already had credit!

Seriously, though. Between the AMEX, Discover and Chase, yeah... Chase has had the worst service of the three

I would have to say AMERICAN EXPRESS had one in 06 tried to use it one day they closed my account did not know why now i know FR paid what i owed and never called them to see why they closed it..

Orchard was the best and the worst, in recent history anyway. They were the first to let me back in but the worst for being decidedly hung up in adolescents. They lasted 8 months.

In the old days, Providian was the worst. When it came time I could no longer pay my debt, B of A worked with me the most and got much of their money repaid before I hit bottom. Providian spent the most money being total incooperative asses and refused to communicate in talk of compromise so they didn't get any money when I started to blunder.

I had a First Premier, and that was bad. But the card that, IMO, ranks worse is CapOne!

Ummm, I know I can't be the only one that has an Imagine card.

Their fees are outrageous. But, I am keeping it till my other cards gain momentum!

I put Imagine in that "best but worst" category another poster mentioned. First to let me in, but OHHHH at what a price!

i think first premier for their fees and lately amex for non reliable card. They do cld for no reason they decline your purchases whenever they want.

I would have to say Providian (now WaMu) also. I tried several times to have them cut the interest rate and they would not budge. The account with them is still open, but they only get the privilege of two small transactions a year.

I checked out First Premier and I think they need a few more fees. Maybe an online account access fee of ($25) per login or something like that. Ha ha.
