Not sure if this was brought up before but I noticed on the application page that they now show the EMV chip version of the card...

It looks kinda cool.

Wonder if the cards won't be so cheap feeling anymore and they made them a bit nicer and ruggid since EMV cards are more expensive to replace

According to cap1 CSR, they have started issuing chip cards, but they can't send you one if you ask. You just need to wait.

Sounds very cap1-ish

Shows it for the QS1, as well... unfortunately I just got off chat with them and they won't send me either.

I just received a QS1 upgrade a few days ago. No chip though. I guess they aren't in a rush, but from the looks of it, they maybe returning to the classic look and feel of cc.

I get the feeling that I'll be the last person to receive their chip cards. I still haven't got chipped card for ventureone card.

Wow, that's kinda unattractive.

Course I'm not the biggest fan of the chip cards anyway even though I'd be more than happy to use one if the occasion would actually arise (looking at this fall, I guess, because there is NOTHING local yet except for Sam's and I don't shop there, but my mother does).

Those little white-out paint on numbers wear off in like 2 days....! I hope they go back to embossed

I like my original QS1 better. Just seems so much fancier looking, although it does feel flimsier than most credit cards do.

And yes creditconcept, they do wear off too quickly! Anyone know of a way to fix that?

Update, my mom applied for this card last week and just got it today, her card is the new design with the emv chip, the nubers/name/expiration date are all embossed like the above picture that I posted...the card actually looks and feels like an actual card. The old design truly made it look like a fake card, but with the few updates it actually looks like a proper card.
