They emailed me the offer. It's $1.25/gl off for the first 20 gallons, then $0.05/gl afterwards. I think I could get $0.08/gl with FRN:

I have had the card for almost ten years. I got approved thru pre-approval. I got approved for $500. Later, they CLD to $400. I think they pulled EQ.

I got the same email offer and deleted it since the SM beats out the 5c a gal discount, wasnt enough of an initial bonus for me to take the HP for it.

I guess it's $25 bonus. Not much, but I don't have SM card and my Marathon card is useless in CA.

Ron were you putting money through it when they CLD you?

I rarely used it because they didn't have rewards by using the card. I usually use my Penfed Cash Rewards Visa at the bump. I think it is worth it if you go to Shell a lot.

I know there is a lot of Shell, 76, and ARCO in LA.

I rarely used it because they didn't have rewards many years ago. I usually use my Penfed Cash Rewards Visa at the bump. I think it is worth it if you go to Shell a lot.

I might wait. April 6 is my 60 day wait period for another Citi AAdvantage card. It would be more useful.

Does ARCO have a card?

Why is it worth it if you use Shell a lot? Are there extra discounts? Not getting 5% makes it pretty meh since several cards give it on all brands!

They got rid of their personal CCs in the early 1980s. Their current offerings are business cards only.

No. They only take Cash or Debit cards. I just check they also have Shell Platinum MC. You earn 10 cents per gallon if you spend over $500.
