This may have been covered already, but I can't seem to find it. Sorry ahead of times if it's been rehashed over and over.

Is there a way to track your spend so far in each category other than just adding it up yourself? I know my Discover card doesn't seem to have anything, but I've never came close to the cap.

I apply mine to Navient student loans successfully. And if you cannot you can apply as statement credit at the same value then just take the money you would have spent paying off your CC and send it to your loan holder.

Also - it used to take only 1 week or so for the SallieMae loan credit to appear online, but since the switch to Navient it has taken 2+ weeks both the times I redeeemed so I am considering just doing statement credit and paying the equivalent to the loan as an extra payment if it does not go faster.

Yes when you go to redeem you choose to Upromise or Sallie Mae or statement credit. you will need your SallieMae (Navient) loan number and such which you can find on your loan statements or in your Navient account online.

Lol that would make too much sense!!! Good tip tho. I shop mostly at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. So, I could get a Wal-Mart gift card for groceries and whatnot. Usually get gas at Wal-Mart as well, so I'll have to find a new place to get gas.
