BOA cc denied ?

I got an app in the mail for a platnium card by boa and was denied due to a collection on experian. Has anybody ever reconed and got them to approve it with a collection? Due i have a chance scores are below.

How old is it? Is it paid? Everything is worth a recon. Always. Worst they can say is no again.

It's from 5 years ago but it was just put back on my report in March and it's unpaid. I tried reconing and the lady i spoke to told me to try again in 6 months when it falls off.

I'd try calling them again. Tell them you really want a card and ask if they can give you a secured one. They may decide that they'll just approve the application.
