Capital One QS now with EMV. Embossed numbers?

I was looking at the picture on their website and looks like the numbers will now be embossed instead of printed, Looks good to me

I can confirm this...My new QS Visa came with the EMV chip, and everything is raised on it. Looks and feels nicer too that my other QS..

From what I've been reading ( and I could be wrong) I think the image cards are done.

Ok but if you have an image card can you request to switch it back to original?

From what I understand, not if they sent you a chili card. I think once you have a chip card you can't go back to the image card.

I posted this few weeks ago on the forums. But yeah, they are so much nicer with the new design...the card feels like an actual card. My old QS card was an embarassment.

I don't mind the flat cards. They're about 1/2 the thickness of a standard card, so they fit in your wallet better. Great for those of us that carry smaller wallets.

My DW just Recieved the new chip QS yesterday, however just last week mine arrived without a chip and with printed numbers.

The new chip is an added security feature the US GOVT uses. It is a tracking device that is being implemented into new card designs.

No conspiracy theorists here? lol..

On a side note, can I report my card lost so that I can receive the new card? Or will they mail out the same ol'card?

Oh did you, well my images are better.....ehhhhh JK. Nice that Capital One actually improved it a little, I like original better.

I must be the only one who didn't mind the original QS design. I hope they keep the black edges, at least. That made it look slick.

the old design was by far the cheapest looking card in the bunch, and if your custom card image didnt look like a 3rd grader made it they would automatically say it was a copyright violation even if it was original work haha the new design seems way better!

Don't really see a major difference that improves the look. Only raised numbers and an EMV chip.

New Slate Design > old Slate. Now THAT'S a makeover.

I received the new QS with the EMV chip from a fresh app. I didn't understand why people didn't like it, until I realized I had the new version. I saw someone post the old/current one and I agree, this one is much nicer and I don't feel embarassed whipping it out at all. It's very gunmetal-ish.

I always liked the flat version of QS, it didn't feel cheap. It's unusual and perhaps the first time a major issuer has gone back to embossed after launching a card as flat? I wonder if Venture will revert back to an embossed card but I prefer the flat clean front personally. I might switch back to QS.
