My Chase Freedom CL is the lowest, can I request a CLI without a HP?

I had the Freedom card for about 9 months now and the credit limit is pittiful 900, even Credit One gave me more. With this being my lowest CL I would either like an increase or close the account.

I understand Chase does a HP for CLI, is there any way around this?

I just received the Cap1 VentureOne card with a 20K limit, I have Discover at 8900, Amex at 7200, Cap1 QS 2500, Cap1 Platinum at 5K. Whats up with this 900 limit.

I just requested a CLI from CHASE and it was a HP, I knew that going in. Aside from an auto CLI, your only bet is a HP CLI. It was worth it for me because I went from $4k limit to $10k limit.

Out of curiosity who do they pull for CLI? I believe I read it was TU?

I'm in Massachusetts and they pulled Experian

I'm in Michigan and they've always pulled TU for me. Worth it when I did it two weeks ago. Went from $2k to $10k.

It was Experian for me when I got my CLI last week.

Ya thinking of trying to get my CSP 10k limit to 15 or 20k.. Really don't want any more account lol. Just trying to figure out my long term strategy.. But I love the Chase sign up bonuses so I am torn! CSP is my favorite card currently and most practical since I eat out and travel!

When I got my card last month they pulled EQ (Florida).

I'd just spend on it until they gave me an auto-CLI. Might be easier.

After reading some of the comments that it was worth it to request a CLI, I went ahead and requested a CLI only to receive, We will call you on 7 days.

What are the chances they will give me an increase?

I called one of the backdoor numbers a day after I submitted the SM for a CLI and spoke to a credit analyst. The analyst was able to look at it right there and approved my increase. I'd wait a day and call one of the backdoor numbers.

Well I called Chase's backdoor number and talked to a credit analyst and after going over some things they were unable to provide a CLI at this time, reason being some delinquencies dating back in 2010 and a high balance on my Amex, which has since been paid down.

I don't see a reason to keep this card or give Chase my business, I am going to cancel this card. My overall util is under 20% so closing this account shouldn't really affect me any.

Chase had been really notorious with me as well. Freedom was my first card from a Prime Lender and second overall.

Was approved at $1000. At 6 months asked a CLI, got $300 CLI with a HP. Another 6 month and I ask another CLI, another HP and another $300 bump. Yet another 6 months, I ask CLI, another HP and a $400 bump. After that they have been refusing me any further CLI. I have tried their underwriting department, their EO but no luck. Though I am preapproved for CSP and Slate for ages now.

If you are at maximum exposure, why did they feel the need to HP you? "Maximum Exposure" should mean just that...no more available credit, so no HP should have been necessary. Makes no sense...sorry for the decline.

Chase has been really good about auto-cliing me. I think I have had them for about 3 years and received 3 auto- or opt-in CLIs. I'd give them another couple months and try again.

If you didn't already cancel it, I would call the executive office to recon. The number is 888-622-7547.

The deliquency dating back to 2010 is just an excuse they have to give, the primary reason is the high balance on AMEX, they are super sensitive to high balances reporting and too many balances reporting. I had about 10 deliquencies and judgement reporting and yet they approved me for Chase Amazon Visa with $500 SL, 7 months later I recon'd CLI to $2500.
