GEMB is weird!!

OK, so I applied for interest-free financing almost 2 years ago for my Lasik and was approved for $3500. Then about 6 months after that was turned down by GEMB for a Car Care One account.

I was denied for the Walmart Discover and approved for the Walmart card for $150!! Then I received a Chevron/Texaco card from GEMB for $400.

I then waited another year (which was a couple of weeks ago) and applied again for Car Care One. I tried to get $3000 and was approved for $900. So then today I was managing my PayPal account and decided to apply for the PayPal Plus CC from GEMB and was denied, but approved for the PayPal Buyer Credit for $600 which is similar to the accounts above.

I guess my question is why does GEMB hate me for their credit card accounts, but will give me (albeit small CL's) other accounts? I guess I shouldn't be too upset since all of these accounts have 0% offers all the time.

I have a CO from them on my report, they gave me a chevron card this month. It makes me want to do the right thing and pay off the old account.

They refuse to give me a Walmart card. I have no idea why. The score they pulled was 710!

Weird, weird company. Denied me for Bass Pro Shops store card and although I talked to at least six different people, they couldn't (wouldn't) tell me why. Written denial was gibberish. They are NOT on my Christmas card list.

I guess the only reason I will keep them is because all of the accounts I have always have 0% terms.

I got approved for AMEX but denied for GEMB! go figure.

I tried Banana Republic, CareCredit, and even Walmart.

I think I'm actually glad I was not approved.

Are GEMB accounts included/reported in overall credit lines? I have $5650 out of my total $13,400 worth of CL's, but the GEMB are not typical CC's.

I have a GEMB Mowak, GEMB Ford care card and a Lowes (also by GEMB). They each report separate with cl, and bal. Hope this helps.

Yes-- if they are revolving accounts they are included in revolving util.

walmart and chevron both are gemb both there own CL and there own TL..

Does anyone know why they won't give me any CC's accounts, but they will give me every store card that I have applied for? I have almost $6000 in TL's with them.
