All Cap 1 cards are gone

after struggling with low credit limits, high interest, an AF, I closed my last 4 Cap1 cards this week....the last one waited for final payment to post and closed tonight. I am Cap1 neutral but on the last 4 cards my total CLI was only $9.2k after over 12 years. If they give me any prequals I may consider getting another card but for now I'm out of Cap1 thanks to the forum I was able to outgrow these limitations.

If your profile is clean, I'd give it a month or two if you're pre-qualified by then.

If your profile is clean, I'd give it a month or two if you're pre-qualified by then.

I keep seeing people telling other people to check for prequal's on Cap One.

I have 4 accts with Cap One for $45K with $0 balance and have NEVER had a prequal. I recently got the Venture and Venture One for $10k ea....no pre qual.

It's definitely not a prerequisite to have a prequal in order to get approved by Cap One.

I agree prequals are not prerequisites.......have only a few cards I had a prequal for. However with Cap1, since I had such low limits and no cli much I'm probably gonna wait at least 6 mos unless I do get an offer.

Don't get pre quals now, when get pre quals on all the other sites (though not counting discover, boa ). I think I could live without the 1.5 back if I cancelled. The US Airways is offering 1.5 on everyday purchases right now anyway (and Barclays claims to run that promotion often).

You should check pre-qualified offer on cardmatch. CapOne always shows up for me there. Btw, why has to be cap1 though? There are a lot of other cards that has better signup/spending bonus than cap1 without the 3 hard pulls. Also just my experience with cap1 is that you can always get 500 to 1000 CLI every 6 MONTHs without hard pulls using the CLI feature on their website. I got my cap1 (my first card) to increase from 500 to 4750 within 3 years with a PC to Quicksilver. Imo, your decision to close all 4 card with them then apply for capone again is not the best one out there.

Same here... never had a prequal offer either despite my 3 accounts.

I always get pre quals on Cap One's site. I wonder if I will now that I just crap canned one of their cards? Will they be mad at me?

Card Match is nothing but paid advertising.

Oh I didnt know that Card Match is just paid advertising. I only checked but never apped using card match because they never match me with the card I want lol. Thanks for letting me know then.
