Quick question for those who have fixed-rate cards please?

A quick question for those who have fixed-rate cards please: was just curious as to how long you have been able to have them for, since account was first opened I mean? The longest fixed-rate card I still have as an open account was opened in 2007, and so I've had it for between 7-8 years so far. The only other ongoing fixed rate card I had was originally opened in 2004, but they later tried to change it to an increased variable rate in 2009, and so i closed it out on the existing fixed-rate terms, and so although i can't charge any new purchases to it, I do still have the benefit of being able to repay it at the original fixed rate. Thanks in advance for anyone who would be willing to share more about their own personal experiences as well!

So far only "fixed rate" card I have is Chase Sapphire@15.24%... had it since 5/13.

@Anonymous CU card is fixed APR @ 8.9%.

Chase Sapphire is not fixed, it is a variable (prime + xx) APR.

That's a very nice rate, congrats! The only remaining fixed rate card I have in my collection (before fixed-rate cards were largely discontinued, Post-CARD Act) is a BoA Cash Rewards World MC, at 9.99% F.

I too have a closed ATT Universal card which had a 7.99% rate. They tried to change terms in 2010 (pre CARD act so they could) to an outrageous rate, I had a balance, so I closed it to freeze the terms. Sounds like your similar situation.

An experiment I will be trying later this year will be, the balance has been paid down to a low level, but still paying on it. Can I open it back up and resurect the 7.99% rate after showing years of good payment history? To be determined...

@NRB To reopen the account would up to the lender. If it's been too long they might not do it.

I have a 2001 BofA Visa opened in 2001 that is fixed at 9.9%.
