Can someone give me the cliff-notes version of how the 50% bonus works? I have yet to place any spend on my card. How much cash do I have to spend to reach the maximum? What will be the maximum bonus?

The maximum bonus is 10,000 miles, making the maximum bonus spend 10k. If you spend 10k over the promotion period you will earn 20,000 miles, anything over that will only earn 1 mile/$1.

Yeah.

50% bonus is 50% of points made, So up to $20,000 on 1x category.

If the maximum you can earn is 10,000 miles...you would spend 20,000$ getting you 20,000 miles, and then 50% of that as a bonus, which would be 10,000 miles....

I've been putting all my non-category spend on this since I signed up for the bonus. Also a lot of AA flights. Does it get 50% bonus of AA spend too? I.e. 3 miles / $ on AA flights?

I thought that we earn double miles as in 2 miles per dollar spent? I guess I read the promotion wrong. So it's 50% bonus on miles earned during the promotion period.
