topic How long does it take... in Credit Cards

Once the CCC, Chase in particular, send in their updates, how long until it actually shows on the CR? I completely PIF today and the statement will cut tommorow. Just not wanting to pull a new report too soon next week. BTW they have recently sent me some killer BT offers- 0% for 6 months or 2.99 for the life of the balance, which inspires another question. I've got a $6k bal on my C1 which is 80% of that CL of $7500. My Chase card is a $12500 CL. Is it possibly I might get a little bump up in scores for getting the util on the C1 down by BT to the Chase card? It will take me about 3 months to finish PIF. It's not really a matter of rates as the C1 card still has 0% for another 5 months or so, just a score issue.

WW,

Don't BT to another card if you are going to pay it off the entire amount in a couple of months. However, if you won't or can't, then yes. If it only for the sake of FICO, leave it alone.

If you are going to be PIF in a few months, unless you need a few extra points before app'ing for a mortgage or something, I would it be.

Overall util won't change by the BT, just individual util.
